25th Nov.,2023.R.S Model Sen Sec.School reverberated with the spirit of oneness and compassion as the school community commemorated the 553rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.A special assembly was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Sanjeev Chandel (Principal) in which Mr. Vinod Sehgal (Vice President ) and Dr. Paramjit Kaur, Director Arya Group of Schools were also present. The program commenced with a soul stirring rendition of the morning prayer followed by National Anthem.Then Mrs. Manpreet Kaur (Punjabi Teacher) delivered a speech, highlighting the Guru’s emphasis on the oneness of God, the importance of truthfulness and honesty . Jaswinder of 12 B, recited a beautiful poem and students recited ‘Mool Mantra’ that echoed the environment. After that the chanting of melodious hymns by the music team left everyone spellbound. Keeping in view the Guru’s teaching ‘Vand Chhako’, Langar was also organised, in which students brought langar from their homes to be distributed to the poor people. Dr. Paramjit Kaur apprised everyone about the Guru’s teachings and urged the students to imbibe the Guru’s values of compassion, humility and service in their daily lives.
